Email Verification: Free Online Email Checker

You want to reach someone by email and are unsure whether the email address is correct? With the EXPERTE.com Email Verification you can easily determine whether an address is valid. In four steps, our tool automatically finds out whether an email address can be reached. The special thing: You can check up to 25 addresses simultaneously.

You have the following options for checking email addresses:

  • Check individual email address
If you only want to check one email address, you can simply enter it in the field and press ENTER.

  • Check multiple email addresses
If you need to check multiple email addresses simultaneously, click on Multiple emails and then enter one address per line.

How Does the Email Checker Work?

To determine whether an address is valid, our tool performs the following steps:

  • Check syntax
The syntax check checks whether the structure of the email address is correct according to RFC 5322 and RFC 5321. The first part of the address may consist of up to 64 characters, the second part of the address may consist of up to 253 characters. The first part may consist of Latin letters, numbers, and some special characters. The second part must be a valid domain.

  • Check mail server
In the second step we determine the MX records for the domain. Only if the domain has a mail server entry, an email can be delivered.

  • Check connection
In the third step we simulate the sending of an email and try to establish a connection to the mail server via SMTP. No actual email is sent. Only if the mail server is reachable, an email can be delivered.

  • Check Catch-All
If a connection to the mail server is possible, we check if the mail server accepts a connection for any email. Only if this is not the case, we can say with certainty whether the email address is valid.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many email addresses can be checked at the same time?

You can check up to 25 addresses simultaneously.

Will the recipient know that I have checked their email address?

No, the recipient will not know that you have checked their email address.

Why is the result "unknown" if the server offers Catch-All?

To check if an address is valid, we ask the mail server if it knows this address. Some mail servers generally answer "Yes", so we can't tell if a certain address is valid.

Are the entered email addresses saved?

No, we do not store any of the queried email addresses.
